Jack Cooper & James Hoare are Ultimate Painting. The two formed a fast friendship when Jack’s band Mazes were on tour supporting James’ band Veronica Falls, sharing similar tastes in music, art & films. It wasn’t until after returning home that a musical synergy was formed. After numerous demos were exchanged, a few casual jam sessions turned into something more; a partnership. Christening themselves after a piece of art by the Southern Colorado desert community (and fanciful geodesic dome builders) “Drop City”, the lads set to work recording their debut proper.

It's not entirely accurate to say that EZTV met while trying out for J. Spaceman’s... US touring line-up of Spiritualized, but it’s not far from the truth. Songwriter and audio engineer Ezra Tenenbaum had been casually working on solo home recordings on his Tascam 8-Track and, in a desire to round out the songs, he enlisted bassist Shane O’Connell and drummer Michael Stasiak (formerly of Widowspeak).

Columbia drone folk ensemble Nevada Greene create pastoral tapestries of guitar, strings, and flute. Their music is warm and comforting, at once filled with yearning nostalgia and an optimism for what lies ahead. The band just released a 12" split with Chicago's Scott Tuma via local record store/label Hitt Records.
